CED Florozon and municipality of Centar signed a grant contract for realization of the project "Promotion of renewable sources of energy in municipality of Centar". This project aims through educational approach to promote the renewable sources of energy , and to consider the opportunities for sustainable economic development by usage of this kind of energy sources.
Specific project objectives are :
• Raising awareness of pupils in the municipality of Center on climate change and its impact
• Creating educational focal points in selected schools
• Training and development of the education sector by including it in the promotion of renewable energy sources and their direct participation in reducing emissions of greenhouse gases
• Increased media coverage on the topic - increased general public awareness and visibility thus provided.
President of the CED Florozon, Mr. Kiril Ristovski attended the SUBREGIONAL two-day WORKSHOP ON THE PROTOCOL ON POLLUTANT RELEASE AND TRANSFER REGISTERS FOR COUNTRIES IN SOUTH EASTERN EUROPE organized by the UNECE Secretariat of the Protocol on PRTRs and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe on 28-29 May, 2013 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The purpose of the workshop was to build capacities of authorities and stakeholders for establishing pollutant release and transfer registers and it will also provide an opportunity to engage key government, NGO and business experts from the region. The workshop was attended by representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo (under UN Security Council Resolution 1244), as well as from Israel and Turkey. As a national NGO representative on PrTR, Mr. Ristovski took the presentation on the role of NGOs in developing and promotion of national PrTRs.
Within the program for improvement the living conditions in the institute for rehabilitation of youths and children in Skopje, president of CED Florozon Mr.Kiril Ristovski signed new grant contract with the Embassy of Germany in Skopje. With the financial support provided by this grant, technical equipment for the kitchen and the canteen will be purchased. Namely, it is planned to purchase a refrigerator, a washing machine and 40 vessels chairs. Given the fact that the existing equipment is almost 45 years old, realization of this project will significantly facilitate daily operations of this institution.
