The National Coordinative Body is established within the project activities and is consisted of societal stakeholders when it comes to the overlap of free legal aid and environment.
The fourth meeting of the National Coordinative Body was organized on 25.11.2020 via ZOOM platform, due to the COVID-19 situation.
This meeting was all about current usage of the new law on FLA and the challenges that registered NGOs are faced while implementing it.
The general conclusion of the meeting was that there is an evident need of greater affirmation of FLA mechanism among the public. Moreover, greater education is needed and efforts should be made by all parties to revive this mechanism in the area of environmental justice as well. Almost everyone included in the judicial process has a lack of sufficient information for the application of such mechanisms abroad. Education is crucial aspect and through examples of positive practice we have to put efforts to use the FLA mechanism itself in environmental protection.
