Within TAI activities Florozon NGO in cooperation with "Biosfera" from Bitola, on 02/02/2010 Year. the Hotel "Epinal" in Bitola, conducted a workshop on "The right of citizens to access to information, public participation in decision making and the right of access to justice in the environment."
This meeting was attended by representatives from TAI initiative to join the RM, a representative from the Ministry of Environment, the U.S. Embassy, as well as 35 participants from local government and local NGOs from Ohrid, Bitola, Resen, Demir Hisar, Krusevo and Novaci.
Key topics covered at this meeting are:
Presentation of the objectives of the activities of the National Alliance, the initiative to approach the environment, Aarhus konvencija and functioning of the Inter Group A.K
Particular emphasis was placed in the field of education representatives, the right of citizens to access information, such as local authorities to provide timely public involvement in the process of creating policies and easier access to justice on matters related to the environment.
