Students from Tihomir Miloshevski Primary School in the Municipality of Gjorche Petrov took part in another educational and inspiring workshop held at the Biotechnology Laboratory of SUGS “Marija Kiri – Sklodovska” – Skopje, as part of the project “Civic Activism for Achieving a Circular Economy in Organic Waste Management.”
Students from 7th to 9th grade, together with their teachers, had the opportunity through demonstrative experiments to learn how household waste can be transformed into valuable resources for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
Through this hands-on training, the young participants were introduced to the concepts of circular economy, green innovation, and sustainable development, encouraging them to think critically and creatively about environmentally and socially responsible solutions.
The workshop not only provided new knowledge and practical skills but also strengthened their environmental awareness and readiness for active civic engagement in building a greener future.
The project is financially supported by the Government of Switzerland through the Civica Mobilitas program and is implemented by the Resource Environmental Center (REC) – North Macedonia, in partnership with Eco Logic and FLOROZON – Center for Environmental Democracy.
