On the eve of the Summit of the Berlin Process, CED FLOROZON participated in the Civil Society Forum as part of the Macedonian NGO community. The forum served as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and networking between the various stakeholders. As well, the thematic panel on climate and green agenda addressed the current situations and challenges faced by the countries of the Western Balkans in the domain of "green" policies, including the green infrastructure, biodiversity protection, effective environmental management and energy transition. Three general recommendations were presented at the thematic forum, which referred to:
- The financial support of the EU in relation to the further harmonization of the region with the environmental standards of the EU;
- good governance in the environment and climate - as an essential element for the implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkan
- Increasing investments in biodiversity and the protection of natural resources, which are at the heart of mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
