We are pleased to present the Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) Handbook, developed to support municipal administrations, urban planners, landscape architects, educational institutions, civil society organizations, and everyone interested in greener, healthier cities.

The handbook offers:

• A clear introduction to the NbS concept and its key benefits in the context of climate change
• A typology of green infrastructure, including tree lines, green belts, green roofs and walls, rain gardens, small green oases, and more
• Practical guidance for planning and implementing NbS in urban and peri-urban areas
• Concrete examples and pilot intervention ideas applicable for municipalities within the City of Skopje

The handbook was developed within the project “Nature-Based Solutions for Advancing Climate Mitigation of City of Skopje”, implemented with the support of the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade through the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). The project aims to contribute to greener, more resilient, and healthier urban communities.
