Yesterday, the Science Caravan made a new stop at Dimitar Pop Georgiev Berovski Primary School in the Municipality of Gjorche Petrov, where we engaged students in an exciting discussion about bio-waste, the ways it can be transformed into useful products, and the important role of youth in protecting the environment.
Through a series of educational games, experiments, and interactive discussions, students explored how small, everyday actions can make a big difference for our planet. They learned how bio-waste—often seen as a problem—can become a valuable resource when managed responsibly, contributing to cleaner communities and a circular economy.
We extend our gratitude to the teachers and students of the school for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation. Their creativity and openness to learning demonstrate how environmental education can inspire real change.
The Science Caravan will continue visiting other schools in the coming weeks, bringing new topics, fresh ideas, and eco-inspiration to young minds across the region.
This event is part of the project “Civic Activism for Advancing Circular Economy in Organic Waste Management,” financially supported by the Government of Switzerland through the Civica Mobilitas Programme, and jointly implemented by REC – North Macedonia, Eco Logic, and CED FLOROZON.
